Michael Pearce is a podiatrist working within the Balance Team offering his skills to clients coming specifically for podiatry or having received a recommendation during treatment from one of our back pain, sports injury and neurological rehabilitation practitioners 

Michael graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a 1st in BSc (Hons) Podiatry. He is a member of The College of Podiatry and is also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Michael has worked in the NHS as a Musculoskeletal Specialist Podiatrist with the responsibility of triaging and managing complex foot and ankle pathologies, working alongside GPwSI, ESP Physiotherapists, MSK Physiotherapists, and Sport Therapists. He has also gained experience working within the private sector as a Sport and Musculoskeletal Podiatrist treating individuals from various sporting backgrounds including but not limited to running, football, cycling, triathlon, tennis, basketball and rugby. As a result of this experience, Michael has developed a particular interest in biomechanics, musculoskeletal pathologies, foot orthoses and sport injuries in both adults and children.

Michael has enhanced his knowledge further through various course work, including; foot mobilisation techniques, running gait retraining, running biomechanics, childrens/ paediatric podiatry, taping and strapping. Currently he is undertaking an Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Biomechanics from Staffordshire University.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys basketball, gym and travelling.
