Dr Lucy Goldby, Spinal Consultant

Lucy is Balance’s Director of Spinal care and leads the Back pain team at Balance. She has a PhD in spinal disorders and thirty years of experience in clinical rehabilitation. She was also one of the country’s first prescribers and a decorated pioneer of her profession.

Jonathan, with his research, has established the BEAT programme (Balance Exercise Activities Training) which is specifically designed for the over 55 year olds who have concerns about their balance or activity levels. BEAT counteracts the negative effects of ageing and has been shown to significantly reduce falls amongst our ageing population.

Jo has 30 years experience in Women's and Men's Health and also works as a clinical specialist at Queen Mary’s hospital, Roehampton, lectures at both under and post graduate level for Kingston University, and is an active member of the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy professional network.

Sophia Busfield, Sports Injury Specialist

Sophia specialises in sports injury rehabilitation. She has worked with elite athletes for 13 years across four professional sports, including Millwall FC, British Judo, Badminton England and the English Institute of Sport (EIS). She has rehabilitated Olympic and Commonwealth medalists as well as those on their first Team GB and professional journeys. With this vast experience, she can deliver bespoke rehabilitation to the clients of Balance to help them recover and achieve their goals.
