Some are actively involved in research and others pioneers within their profession. Each of them has decades of experience and knowledge for your benefit and that of the entire team.
Lucy is Balance’s Director of Spinal care and leads the Back pain team at Balance. She has a PhD in spinal disorders and thirty years of experience in clinical rehabilitation. She was also one of the country’s first prescribers and a decorated pioneer of her profession.
Jonathan, with his research, has established the BEAT programme (Balance Exercise Activities Training) which is specifically designed for the over 55 year olds who have concerns about their balance or activity levels. BEAT counteracts the negative effects of ageing and has been shown to significantly reduce falls amongst our ageing population.
Caroline has been managing spinal, soft tissue and peripheral joint disorders for many years. She specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is a clinical specialist spinal practitioner.
Jo has 30 years experience in Women's and Men's Health and also works as a clinical specialist at Queen Mary’s hospital, Roehampton, lectures at both under and post graduate level for Kingston University, and is an active member of the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy professional network.
Sophia specialises in sports injury rehabilitation. She has worked with elite athletes for 13 years across four professional sports, including Millwall FC, British Judo, Badminton England and the English Institute of Sport (EIS). She has rehabilitated Olympic and Commonwealth medalists as well as those on their first Team GB and professional journeys. With this vast experience, she can deliver bespoke rehabilitation to the clients of Balance to help them recover and achieve their goals.
Jose is our neurological paediatric specialist consultant. Combining his clinical work from all over Europe with his original research he brings energy and vitality to every client. He has a wide experience of many neurological forms of treating and understanding children and adults with neurological disorders.
Graham Anderson Sports Physiotherapist with 30 years of experience and an abundance of treatment and rehabilitation wisdom. He works globally as a regular on the ATP Tennis Tour, locally at Balance Clapham SW4, and is Lead Physiotherapist for the Championships, AELTC Wimbledon SW11.
Jonathan Lewis is a health professional specialising in breathing and movement practices, and physical conditioning. Jonathan's focus is on breathing and movement habits as the root of our mental and emotional wellbeing, as well as our physical health. Only when balance is achieved here, in ordinary day to day well-being, can health and resilience across a lifetime be considered possible.
