Balance Performance champions experts. Our consultants are experts in their fields and constantly disseminate their knowledge and experience to the rest of the team. Some are actively involved in research and others pioneers within their profession. Each of them has decades of experience and knowledge for your benefit and that of the entire team.
Lucy is Balance’s Director of Spinal care and leads the Back pain team at Balance. She has a PhD in spinal disorders and thirty years of experience in clinical rehabilitation. She was also one of the country’s first prescribers and a decorated pioneer of her profession.
Jonathan, with his research, has established the BEAT programme (Balance Exercise Activities Training) which is specifically designed for the over 55 year olds who have concerns about their balance or activity levels. BEAT counteracts the negative effects of ageing and has been shown to significantly reduce falls amongst our ageing population.
Jo has 30 years experience in Women's and Men's Health and also works as a clinical specialist at Queen Mary’s hospital, Roehampton, lectures at both under and post graduate level for Kingston University, and is an active member of the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy professional network.
Caroline has been managing spinal, soft tissue and peripheral joint disorders for many years. She specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is a clinical specialist spinal practitioner.
Jose is our neurological paediatric specialist consultant. Combining his clinical work from all over Europe with his original research he brings energy and vitality to every client. He has a wide experience of many neurological forms of treating and understanding children and adults with neurological disorders.
Jonathan is a physiotherapist specialising in movement and wellness practises. His physical training experience began professionally in 1989 and as a health professional in 1996. Jonathan understands that movement habits are at the root of our mental and emotional wellbeing as well as our physical health. His sessions can address daily movement and breathing habits for better health and performance; the teaching of conscious breathing and movement practices; and conditioning training.
