Dr Gita Ramdharry – Chartered Neurological Specialist Physiotherapist

Gita qualified as a physiotherapist sixteen years ago and initially gained significant experience at three of London’s largest teaching hospitals. She completed her MSc in 2004 and her PhD in 2008 at University College London (UCL) where she explored the bio-mechanics of walking in people with inherited nerve disease.
Gita has a keen interest in exercise and activity in people with neurological conditions and is continuing to conduct post-doctoral research in this area at UCL. She has published numerous papers in medical journals, book chapters and regularly presents her work at international conferences. Gita is also the vice-chair of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology and is a senior lecturer at Kingston University where she supervises MSc and PhD students.
