The aim of the coaches and trainers in the strength and conditioning team is to see men and women make a full recovery from injury and then achieve greater levels of performance then ever before and discover the natural athletic ability we each have.
We work to see this happen in a variety of ways:
- by being available for consultation with every client during their rehabilitation
- one to one personal fitness training sessions
- weekly and monthly studio classes designed to cover the basic requirements of health and athletic performance.
- periodic workshops and seminars for both personal benefit (we teach the public) and professional development (we teach the coaches).
Balance strength and conditioning coaches work closely alongside the clinical team. You should expect your therapist to put you in contact with us at some point during your treatment and rehabilitation. If you are unsure of what you really need to move on, stay injury free and perform better, dont put it off just ask.
All of the coaches on this team consider themselves athletes and want you to consider yourself an athlete too. They have learnt from their experiences in human performance at an elite or high standard both personally and professionally. They have gained knowledge from the challenges of injury (some serious) and life in general.
At Balance we continue to coach performers working at the highest elite and professional levels but more frequently we work, with the same degree of satisfaction, with those who manage to concentrate on two things at once! Such as holding down a job/career, bringing up a family, caring for relatives, (some people do all these things...we know) all whilst having aspirations for self-improvement, sports performance, health, well being and trying to overcome the challenges of injury, illness and life in general.
We believe we all share the ability to work towards our full potential by moving around the obstacles placed before us and we are flexible in our apporach to find a solution that suits your particular circumstances.
