Paula has sixteen years clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries and back pain, she has worked as part of the Balance team since 2002. She is a back pain specialist, and acupuncture & pain management practitioner. If you have back pain she can help with a personalised spinal stability programme with the help of 'real-time ultrasound' to check how well you are using your core.
With seven marathons under her belt (two on inline skates), she is one of our resident running experts who can help you with training advice and injury prevention. She can turn her hand to movement analysis and rehabilitation of most sports. She is an accomplished author, and has written books on injury prevention for runners, 'Running Repairs', and self management books on back pain, arthritis and diabetes in the series 'Exercise yourself to health'.
