A hectic summer for the team at Balance

Congratulations to Graham Anderson who has been selected to work with Team GB in China for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. As one of the uk’s most experienced sports physiotherapists Graham is no stranger to major sporting events (including 3 Olympic games) but this summer is proving particularly hectic.

Having already been to Russia with Judo and Indonesia with Badminton in the last few weeks Balance is now involved with professional tennis at Boodles and the Championships Wimbledon.

Professional Tennis at The Boodles Challenge and the Wimbledon Grand Slam

The Boodles Challenge is a private professional tennis tournament on the lawns of Stoke Park Club, a grand event on pristine grass courts the week before The Championships Wimbledon, the worlds most famous tennis event.

Every seat is within 10 metres of the tournament court and visitors have great access to the practice courts which every year since it began in 2002 have been graced by the world's tennis elite.

Past players include Andy Murray, Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick, Mark Philippoussis, Fernando Gonzalez, David Nalbandian, Tim Henman, Jamie Murray, Tommy Haas, The Brian Brothers (Mike and Bob), Nikolai Davydenko, James Blake, Marat Safin, Ivan Ljubicic, Nicolas Kiefer, Feliciano Lopez, Evgeny Korolev, Robin Soderling, Fernando Verdasco, Nicolas Massu, Nicolas Lapentti, Max Myrni, Gaston Gaudio, Greg Rusedski, Gael Mofils and Carlos Moya.

And then there was Boris Becker, Pete Sampras, Goran Ivanisevic.

This year James Avery is representing Balance at the event and we hope he enjoys the event.

Straight after Boodles Graham Anderson and Jonathan Lewis are once again working at the SW19 tournament that is the Championships Wimbledon, probably the most famous of the Grand Slams.
