New class timetable and other developments at Balance

Balance has experienced a particularly active period of development since September of 2008. From the investment in technology at our London facility with the Real Time Ultrasound and the G-trainer Treadmill , to a renewed emphasis on the low tech but highly effective physical training classes , to improved communication with our clients, future clients and expanding professional network internationally using Twitter and Facebook.

Many of the improvements we have made have been behind the scenes but over the last 6 months the benefits to our clients should have become more apparent.

Investment in "anti-gravity" technology brought the G-trainer treadmill to Balance in Novemeber and since then we have worked with a whole host  of clients from various backgrounds from Ironman and Ironwoman triathletes, ultradistance world record breakers, professional rugby and football, marathon runners, post surgical clients just out of plaster casts, men and women who are rehabilitating from ACL reconstructions and ruptured discs to name just a few. Our experience has grown, knowledge expanded and know better than ever how the G-trainer makes significant improvements to athletes looking for improved perofrmance or recreational sports men and women looking for the fastest route possible back after injury.

Coming soon: the "World Record Club - gravity assisted speed" a new group started to draw runners from all backgrounds together to race and challenge records. With the assistance of reduced gravity unthinkable speeds can be achieved! Official Rankings will be based around 1 mile challenges at 75% or 85% bodyweight.

Real Time Ultrasound has transformed the way trunk (core) activation is being taught during the course of back pain rehabilitation and pilates. Balance clients are achieving greater accuracy and awareness in how they use their deep abdominal and other trunk muscles. There will be more specific information going onto the website soon but in the mean time contact Paula Coates one of our Back Pain specialists who will be able to answer your questions as describe how it might help you. There is also an article you can CLICK HERE and read on the "Use of Real-Time Ultrasound in the Management of Spinal Pain".

The exercise class programme has been overhauled to offer even more opportunities for clients to develop lifelong health and fitness programmes and strategies for enhancing sports and athletic performance. CLICK HERE for the Class pages and see an explanation for each of the classes - from Pilates Mat to Ashtanga Yoga to Full Throttle Conditionin. A path flows through the classes from basic movement control and awareness to dynamic and athletic precision to intense conditioning - all emphasising quality as prerequisite.
